We all have a chance to support our local heroes this weekend in central New York by participating in the "Sitrin's Stars And Stripes Run-Walk" at the SUNY-IT campus in Marcy.

Here's what it's all about, according to www.sitrin.com:

"October 11, 2014 | SUNYIT Campus - Marcy, N.Y.

Join Sitrin for the Third Annual Stars and Stripes Run/Walk!

Individuals and teams are invited to participate in honor or in memory of a loved one who has served our country. The event, which correlates with Sitrin's Adaptive Sports Symposium, will feature a 5K run, 5K wheelchair race, 2-mile walk, and a fun-filled, military-inspired obstacle course!

Registration is $25 and includes a commemorative dog tag. Entry fees will be counted toward fundraising incentive levels.

Your generosity and fundraising efforts will support Sitrin's Military Rehabilitation Program, which provides care for wounded warriors who have post-traumatic stress, traumatic brain injury, amputation, and other combat-related conditions.
