I'm starting to come around knowing their will be a Star Was 7. I'm pretty excited now, no lie. Why should Disney stop with just the movies? What about a live-action TV series? That's what may happen over at ABC considering they own Disney.

ABC Entertainment president Paul Lee has said that the option has been brought up and that they are looking into it.

“We’d love to do something with Lucasfilm, we’re not sure what yet,” Lee exclusively told EW. “We haven’t even sat down with them. We’re going to look at [the live-action series], we’re going to look at all of them, and see what’s right. We weren’t able to discuss this with them until [the acquisition] closed and it just closed. It’s definitely going to be part of the conversation.”

One of the main reasons before why a show never took off was the cost. Think about it now though, if ABC owns Disney, and Disney owns Star Wars, a lot of the copyright costs don't exist. Licensing costs would be eliminated and they'd be able to make pure profit.

What would this Star Wars show even look like? What kind of plots could we expect? According to Entertainment Weekly, they have sources reporting that the live-action series would center on the story of rival families struggling over the control.

Sources say the live-action series centers on the story of rival families struggling over the control of the seedy underside of the Star Wars universe and the people who live within the subterranean level and air shafts of the metropolis planet Coruscant (the Empire’s urban-sprawl-covered home planet). A bounty hunter may be the main character. Set between the original Star Wars film trilogy and the prequels, the time period allows for all sorts of potential appearances from classic figures from the Star Wars universe.”

I don't know about you, but I know I'm very excited for this. Just don't place this on at the same time as “The Walking Dead
