Have You Tried The New Samuel Adams Blueberry Hill Lager?
Over the weekend I was lucky enough to sample some of Samuel Adams new Blueberry Hill Lager. It was wonderful, it probably will become my beer of choice this summer. Want to know some more facts about it? Or beer reviews?
This crisp, unfiltered lager is aged on blueberries for a pleasant blueberry aroma and taste. To take this fruity character in a new direction, we brewed with Tettnang Tettnanger Noble hops for an added subtle citrus note – a delicious blend of flavors with a smooth lager finish.”
The best part of this beer was the fact the Blueberry didn’t have an overpowering taste. It was just the right amount that made the beer taste amazing.
What are other people rating this delight from Samuel Adams?
One user on Beer Advocate had this to say:
Gold color, a little haze. Good amount of carbonation rising up. Thick frothy head.
Blueberry, bubblegum, some sweetness.
Blueberry through out the taste, it’s not overpowering. Pale malts, bready, grassy. I get some orange citrus and spice towards the finish. Body is medium, crisp, semi-dry, refreshing, smooth.
Really good for a fruit beer.”
So it looks like others agree with me, that’s always a good thing. The beer only has about 191 calories per bottle so you can’t go wrong.
