Have You Ever Faked A Sick Day?

You can answer this question in your head, we wouldn’t want your boss too see your answer.  So have you ever faked a sick day?  C’mon, be honest.  In your entire career, ever call in sick and you weren’t really sick?  Well, here is the results of a most recent survey that says that your boss did not just fall off of the onion truck.  60% of bosses indicate that they actually don’t believe their employees when they call in sick. 

Why?  Because they don’t sound sick when they call in, or they at least don’t sound sick enough.  Secondly, blame the weather.  First gorgeous day of the year and you have an employee calling in sick? 

Hmmm.  Something’s fishy here.  Or should I say someone’s fishing?  One in three bosses actually check social media to check if the employee is dumb enough to announce what they are doing or brag about blowing off work that day. 

On average, people have faked four sick days.  What about you?  You can leave a comment, but leave your name off…to protect the, er…innocent?
