This weekend the American Heart Association wants to teach you how to potentially save a life. The American Heart Association will be offering free hands-only CPR demonstrations for thousands of people expected at the Boilermaker Road Race this weekend.

Hands-only CPR is simple to learn and perform because it only involves two steps: call 911 and push hard and fast on the center of the victim's chest until professional help arrives.

According to the AHA less than one third of cardiac arrest victims receive help from bystanders, but when CPR is performed the chances of survival can double or even triple.

The demonstrations will be held at the Jorgensen Center room 115 on the MVCC Campus during the Health and Fitness Expo Friday July 12 at 3 p.m. and on Saturday July 13 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
