The warmer weather is not necessarily good news for flood-prone residents of Oneida County, New York.

A flood watch is in effect for much of central New York from noon on Saturday, January 11, 2014 through Sunday evening, January 15, 2014.

The National Weather Service in Binghamton has declared the flood watch for parts of New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The following counties are affected:

  • Broome
  • Chemung
  • Chenango
  • Cortland
  • Delaware
  • Madison
  • Oneida (Northern Oneida)
  • Onondaga
  • Otsego
  • Schuyler
  • Seneca
  • Southern Cayuga
  • Southern Oneida
  • Steuben
  • Sullivan
  • Tioga
  • Tompkins
  • Yates

  • Bradford
  • Lackawanna
  • Luzerne
  • Northern Wayne
  • Pike
