Team Ninja is bringing Ryu (no, not Ken's Ryu), and the girls back one more time in this stunning, current-gen version of Dead or Alive 5.

We have learned that Dead or Alive 5 Last Round is going to be the final, optimized version of Team Ninja's latest fighter. And it better be, because this marks the fourth time the game has been released since the original Dead or Alive 5 launched in 2012. Nevertheless, it is going to provide a ton of content and some gorgeous graphics to boot.

DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round marks an exciting step forward for the franchise, and one that fans have been asking for,” said Yosuke Hayashi, head of Team Ninja. “Bringing the game to a new generation of consoles is allowing us to create the most graphically striking version of any Dead or Alive game ever, and we are very happy to give our fans the chance to experience our signature high energy fighting entertainment as only the latest consoles can deliver it.”

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round will have almost 30 characters, including Akira, Pai, Jacky and Sarah Bryant from the Virtua Fighter series. Last Round will have 300 costumes along with new hairstyle and accessory customizations. Something that does irk us though is that the paid DLC costumes from Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate will not be unlocked in Last Round (though Ultra Street Fighter IV is doing this for the previously released costumes of the game's earlier editions), but these pieces of DLC will carry over if you bought them before.

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round will hit store shelves in Spring 2015 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for the price of £34.99 (which is equivalent to $57.80). There will be a digital version of Last Round for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (but no physical retail copy), and it will only be £24.99 ($41.24).
