Central New York’s Greatest Hit Maker Decision 2012- The Who vs The Beatles

It's week two of Central New York’s Greatest Hit Maker Decision 2012. Week two means more elections, and more votes. We want to focus on what may matter to you the most this election season: The Music. 

Last Monday our two candidates were from the 1960′s Peace and Love Music Party. They were The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. The Beatles beat out the stones, and Keith Richards has declined a recont. It's week 2 and can the Beatles survive this Primary vote?

Our two candidates today in our Primary vote are the following

The Beatles

You may have heard of our friends The Beatles. They were formed in Liverpool in 1960 and are probably the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed act in the history of popular music. The Beatles have had more number-one albums on the British charts and sold more singles in the UK than any other act. According to the RIAA, as of 2012 they have sold 177 million units in the US, more than any other artist.

The Who

The Who was formed in 1964 by Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend, John Entwistle and Keith Moon. They became known for their very energetic live performances which often included instrument destruction. The Who have sold about 100 million records, and have charted 27 top forty singles in the United Kingdom and United States, as well as 17 top ten albums, with 18 Gold, 12 Platinum and 5 Multi-Platinum album awards in the United States alone.
