Buford, Wyoming Sold for $900,000

Have you ever dreamed of owning your own city? Maybe you wanted to feel like you were king of your own castle. Well, you may not be able to buy a large city but you can start small like a town. The smallest town in the United States was sold yesterday to two businessmen from Vietnam for $900,000. You can afford that right?

The town of Buford, Wyoming has a population of one and consists of just a gas station and convenience store, a three-bedroom house and a few small buildings. Its 10 acres of land run along interstate 80.

Budford’s only current resident Don Sammons has lived there since 1980, back when the town's population was three, but since then, his wife died and his son moved away. He's owned the town since 1990 and found the auction bittersweet, wiping back tears, saying,

"I don't know when it will hit me. I've lived here half my life. I'm an emotional person, and I hope I handle it an adult manner."
