Blizzard Unveils Dates and Ticket Details for BlizzCon 2014
Blizzard Entertainment has officially announced that it is holding its eighth BlizzCon gaming convention on Friday, Nov. 7 and Saturday, Nov. 8. BlizzCon is once again being held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Southern California and will be uniting every fan of the Zerg, Alliance, Nephalem, Protoss and all other major Blizzard factions to another fun-filled weekend consisting of the latest in Blizzard news, products and software.
BlizzCon allows fans to get hands-on experience with the latest Blizzard games. For example, last year’s convention had playable builds of Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor, Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm that were all open to the public. BlizzCon also hosts the global finals for StarCraft 2 and World of Warcraft’s Arena matches. There are also plenty of panels held by Blizzard developers, artists and voice actors.
Tickets for BlizzCon cost $199 each and are going on sale May 7 at 7 p.m. Pacific time and May 10 at 10 a.m. Pacific, and these tickets are limited. Last year, the first batch of tickets sold out within minutes of the ticket website’s opening. We suggest that groups who are serious about wanting to go to BlizzCon should go to the event website with their credit cards ready at least an hour before the online ticket venues open and all communicate openly since the success rate of trying to buy tickets is rather small. As always, there will also be an online pay-per-view version of the event that will be able to be ordered for fans who wish to witness the con’s activities at home.
