Aug 2, 1938 – Remember Yellow Baseballs?
I guess it seemed like a good idea at the time, but the idea was shortlived. Aug 2, 1938 – Bright yellow baseballs were used in a major league baseball game between the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Chicago Cardinals. It was hoped that the balls would be easier to see.
