US Soccer Team Advances to Finals of the Women’s World Cup [VIDEO]

Abby Wambach scored the go-ahead goal, and the United States woman's soccer team defeated France on Wednesday, 3-1, clinching a spot in the finals of the Woman's World Cup.

After the US took an early 1-0 lead, France began dominating the game's possession, finally scoring an equalizer in the 55th minute. But Les Blues weren't able to further capitalize on what ended up being a 25-11 shots-on-goal advantage.

Ted Danson to Star in ‘CSI’

Former 'Cheers' barkeep Ted Danson has a new gig.

CBS has announced that this fall, Danson will star in its flagship show, 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.' He'll be the forensic team's newest supervisor, a transplant from Portland, OR, who helps his colleagues come to grips with the professional and personal fallout from last season’s take-down of serial killer Nate Haskell.

Doctor’s Assistant: Tiger Woods Did Not Receive Performance-Enhancing Drugs

Anthony Galea did not provide Tiger Woods with performance-enhancing drugs.

That was the message from Galea's former assistant, Mary Anne Catalano, through her attorney Ron Personius on Monday. Galea, a Toronto doctor with known ties to high-level athletes such as Woods, Alex Rodriguez, and Carlos Beltran, pleaded guilty last month to importing misbranded and unapproved drugs -- including human growth hormone -- into the U.S.

On Monday's episode of 'The Tonight Show,' Howie Mandel brought a friend along with a connection to Jay Leno. Turns out, Leno's wife once backed into the man's car in the parking lot of a convenience store. As a way to put things right, Leno offered to pay for the damage, as well as dinner at Spago.

But the man and his date didn't content themselves with a simple salad. Instead, they racked up a bill for $1,345, which cost substantially more than fixes to the car. "The damage to the car was $900!" Leno said.
