Earlier this week, we got word that 'Terminator 5' would set up shop at Paramount Pictures, a new home for the franchise after two lackluster films with Warner Bros. But what did that actually mean for the movie? Sure, it had a new home, but does that actually get us closer to seeing 'Terminator 5' in theaters? It turns out it does. Arnold Schwarzenegger spoke out today, confirmed his involvement in 'Terminator 5' and said filming on the sequel is set to begin in January, 2014.
"BYE BYE."
Those are the chilling final words scrawled in capital letters on the last page of a diary the late Heath Ledger kept as he was filming 'The Dark Knight,' his last finished movie. Ledger's father, Kim, opened up Ledger's Joker diary publicly for the first time for the upcoming documentary 'Too Young to Die,' giving fans a fascinating glimpse into how the late actor created one of the most memorable movie villains of all-time.
Last night was the first ever public screening of 'World War Z,' this summer's big zombie action-thriller. That would've been enough excitement for the fans in Hoboken, NJ who lined up for hours for their first look at the film. But they got an added surprise: Mr. Brad Pitt.
We were in attendance and after all the fuss, it turns out that 'World War Z' is actually...a pretty good movie.
When Megan Fox was cast as April O'Neil in the upcoming 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' reboot, the reaction was...mixed. And by "mixed" we mean, mixed between people hating it and people really hating it. Today, however, we have the first look at Megan Fox in character as April on the 'Ninja Turtles' set and maybe it'll change your mind. Maybe? (Probably not.)
While Harrison Ford is doing his best to stay quiet about 'Star Wars: Episode 7,' Carrie Fisher (the first to spill the beans about returning for Disney's 'Star Wars' sequels) is still talking. The actress was at the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo over the weekend and had plenty to say about 'Star Wars: Episode 7' including why Disney is sending people to her house on a regular basis.
'Transformers 4' has already cast Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz and Jack Reynor but in looking to fill some additional roles, producers are taking an unexpected approach: a reality TV show.
It was one of the few 80s movies left that hadn't been remade but now it looks like the inevitable will happen: the John Hughes classic 'Weird Science' will be rebooted at Universal with a R-rated take on the comedy. But you know what? We've actually got faith and we'll tell you why.
This 'R.I.P.D.' trailer certainly seems to indicate that the supernatural buddy cop film is a lot like 'Men in Black' with a cranky Jeff Bridges standing in for a cranky Tommy Lee Jones and a wise-ass Ryan Reynolds filling in for a wise-ass Will Smith. Whether that's a good thing or not is up to you. Take a look at this new 'R.I.P.D.' trailer for yourself to decide.
Harrison Ford was a guest on last night's 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' to promote his movie '42' and naturally the discussion came around to 'Star Wars: Episode 7' and the future of the franchise. Ford tried to stay mum and say he couldn't talk about anything 'Star Wars,' but when he agreed to some questions from the audience, things got heated and Ford walked off the set. Watch video of the incident below.
'Avengers 2' doesn't hit theaters for over two years but that doesn't mean we can't start looking forward to the biggest sequel in modern movie history. With 'Thor 2,' 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and 'Captain America 2' all filming this year, a start of production on 'Avengers 2' can't be that far off and now we know when it will begin.
Do you like Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg cracking jokes with each other while watching them shoot things and blow stuff up? Well then, you're probably gonna love '2 Guns.'
