Phoenix High School Football Player Dies After Sustaining Head Injury [VIDEO]

Residents of Phoenix and Homer continue to morn the loss of 16-year-old Ridge Barden. Barden, a member of the Phoenix High School football team, collapsed on the field during Friday night's game against Homer.

During the game Barden was hit hard and lay face down on the field. Trainers quickly came on to the field to attend to Barden. Barden was able to sit up and was coherent talking with trainers. However, when he tried to stand up, he fell over.
