Just when you thought vacationing in Paris couldn't get more expensive, Assassin's Creed Unity will be adding microtransactions for those with lots of cash and not a lot of patience.

Xbox Wire reports Ubisoft has revealed at Gamescom 2014 that Assassin's Creed Unity is going to have microtransactions to help "fast track" certain aspects of its gameplay. This will likely be similar to the microtransactions we have seen in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, where players were able to use real currency to buy faster ships and more trade goods for the game's naval armada management system. Vincent Pontbriand, a senior producer at Ubisoft, claims that microtransactions wouldn't be utilized unless they were completely optional and made sense with how they are applied.

"Companion apps, monetisation, other business models, digital only... We have to be reactive to these things, but not necessarily fundamentally change what we're trying to do," Pontbriand said. "There's a couple of things like that we'll always have to be on the lookout for."

"If we think it fits the gameplay, or the brand itself, the core values, we're willing to take those risks. If not, then not. We're not going to make any compromises."

Xbox Wire claims that you will be able to spend money to hack the Animus and unlock gear in faster ways than you would by earning them through traditional gameplay.
Assassin's Creed Unity launches on Oct. 28 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

At least you don't have to spend that extra cash trying to get rid of a body, because now you know where to hide them.
