Ubisoft is bringing an in-game prison system and CSI-like interrogations to Assassin's Creed Unity.

Just when you thought Assassin's Creed was all about haystacks, parkour and Eagle Vision, Ubisoft throws le curve ball. The Total Xbox reports that a new type of side mission is being added to Assassin's Creed Unity where you must investigate murders throughout Paris and find each culprit. Instead of giving a perp the old Hidden Blade, you must actually determine who is a suspect, interrogate them and report it to the police, leading to the accused person's imprisonment.

"With street murders, you find corpses, and you work with [Eugène François Vidocq] - he's sort of the father of French modern criminology. You can put people in jail, you can accuse and interrogate people - you can accuse the wrong person," said Creative Director Alexandre Amanicio. "You might go to the jail and find that it's all filled with innocent people by the end of the game. It's all done though investigation and exploration."

Previously, doing dirty deeds used to desynchronize your character from the Animus -- this is no longer the case if you were to accuse and imprison the wrong suspect. There will also be treasure hunt quests left for you by the ancient prophet, Nostradamus. Nostradamus' treasure hunts will be riddle-based, forcing you to check the Animus' databases to learn more about the landmarks of Paris to help locate each chest.

Assassin's Creed Unity launches on Nov. 11 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

With this new prison system, you better know where to hide those Templar bodies at.
