The song was written on their tour bus.Steve Perry and Neil Schoen wrote this song on their tour bus.then played  it for the rest of the band.you may remember it was also used in the movie Caddyshack with Rodney Dangerfield dancing to it from a sound system in his golf bag. it would also be featured in Charlies Angels 2 Full Throttle at the end of the film.
