It's the selfless stories that really fill the heart with holiday spirit - and such is the case in St. Cloud, Minn., where an anonymous donor dropped 11 hundred-dollar bills into a Salvation Army kettle.

WJON reports that Salvation Army volunteer bell ringers discovered a roll of hundreds inside a kettle on Monday.

"There were 11 of them all bundled together so we know one person put them in," said St. Cloud Salvation Army Major Lee Morrison.

Morrison said it was the largest single donation ever received in one of the kettles in the city.

The iconic red kettles and bell ringers collect donations across the globe to assist those in need during the holidays.
