In one of the more bizarre yet cooler crossovers, the 'Angry Birds: Star Wars' game is now available for purchase. The trailer begins with an homage to 'Star Wars: A New Hope' as two Angry Birds, one dressed as Luke Skywalker and the other as Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi, enter the iconic Mos Eisley bar on Tattooine. There, they re-create the scene where Obi-Wan and Luke persuade Han Solo to take them to the planet Alderaan with the Millennium Falcon. Other nods to the original trilogy include cameos by R2-D2, C-3PO, Chewbacca and the Death Star.

The creators of the 'Angry Birds Star Wars' mash-up game aren't above a little humor, either: in the same scene, Obi-Wan has a poster of Princess Leia posing for an Alderaan "dream vacation" advertisement as an inside joke because everybody knows that Han and Leia wind up together at the end of the original trilogy. However, when the Angry Bird version of Obi-Wan finally explodes (literally) at Han and Chewie, fans of the movies may wonder why the esteemed Jedi Knight didn't do that in the first place.

Although this game seems to be geared more for children, 'Star Wars' fans will enjoy it too--especially if they like collecting unique memorabilia. For those who want to purchase the game, it is available for download now and will work on iOS, KindleFire, Mac, PCDigital, Windows 8, Windows Phone, and Rovio.
