2015 AHL All Star Game Coming to Utica

The American Hockey League and the Utica Comets are set to make a major announcement and speculation is running rampant on what that might entail.

The speculation began earlier this afternoon when WKTV posted on Facebook about the impending 'major announcement.'

Of course there was the regrettably expected negative reactions, "Leaving already?"

The main speculation focused on the Comets and the Utica Memorial Auditorium being host of an upcoming AHL All Star Game. Others speculate that the Comets may switch affiliations to another NHL team.

So what do you think the big announcement will be about?

Rumor becomes reality as the announcement was made of the Utica Comets hosting the 2015 AHL All Star Game on January 26, 2016 presented by Turning Stone Resort Casino. In addition to the game, there will be a skills competition at the AUD and the AHL Awards and Hall of Fame Induction at Turning Stone.
