As the resident "beer guy", I feel it's my duty to inform you of new brews when I hear about them, especially those made in New York State. Well, over the weekend, I learned of a new beer that has earned rave reviews from my son (yes, he's of legal age). And it's got a catchy name.

My son told me about a beer he discovered in Syracuse recently, "Swallow Wit", brewed by Middle Ages Brewing Company. Here's a brief description, according to middleagesbrewing.com:

"Swallow Wit

A wheat beer brewed in the style of a Belgian wit bier while using British ingredients. Lite and refreshing spiced with coriander and orange peel.

Style:

Wheat Beer

ABV: 4.80%

Seasons: All Year

Containers: 12oz bottle, Growler, Keg"

This is a new one on me, so I will be looking for it around the Utica-Rome area.
