A 5-Year-Old Shot and Killed his 2-Year-Old Sister
Earlier this week (April 30th), a 5-year-old boy in Cumberland County, Kentucky was playing with a .22-caliber rifle and accidentally shot and killed his 2-year-old sister.
The rifle was a gift the boy received last year. The Cumberland County Coroner said:
“It’s a Crickett. It’s a little rifle for a kid.”
Many reacting to the story were horrified by not only the accident, but because Crickett Rifles are marketed to children.

After the controversial marketing entered into this horrific story, it appears that Crickett has closed up shop. Their twitter account was deleted and now their website is replaced with a test page.
