Well, it's not 'Twilight,' but '50 Shades of Grey' was certainly inspired by it. Universal's upcoming BDSM romance, adapted from author E.L. James' bestselling and extremely explicit novel, will arrive in 2015, and the first look at its two stars has arrived.

Casting the two leads in such a film as this was no easy task, as many well-known actors and actresses were rumored for the parts until male model-turned-actor Jamie Dornan and 'The Social Network' actress Dakota Johnson stepped up to the plate, the former having replaced 'Sons of Anarchy' star Charlie Hunnam. Entertainment Weekly debuted the first character portraits for the film, as well as its upcoming magazine cover, to preview what's in store for audiences come release time.

For those unfamiliar with '50 Shades of Grey,' the story was originally written as a piece of 'Twilight' fan fiction before giving life to new characters Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. In a nutshell, Ana falls for the stud and enters a world of BDSM. Sound explicit? That's because it is. Funny enough, a porn version of the film was in the works a while ago before Universal sued its production company because -- get this -- the porno was too similar to the source material and not enough of a parody. Makes you think what the actual movie will be like.

Universal moved the '50 Shades of Grey' release date from summer 2014 to Valentine's Day 2015, because nothing says romance like this particular tale. Get a load of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson in the first photos below, and let us know what you think in the comments.
