The Blues Brothers started out as a musical sketch on Saturday Night Live back in 1978 with John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd.

They became national recording artists when they released an album called Brief case Full Of Blues also in 1978. The album produced the hits Soul Man, Rubber Biscuit and Gimmie Some Lovin. They were featured on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine in 1979. Then in 1980 made a movie called The Blues Brothers, created around their characters. After the death of Belushi in 1982 the band would reform in 1988 for a world tour, and again in 1998 for a sequel to The Blues Brothers called Blues Brothers 2000.
